CS4411 Reading List: Week 8

• Section 5.6. This section is not covered in class; but, this is a required reading.
• Chapter 7. Note that Section 7.2.2 was not discussed in class; however, it is a required reading.
• Two sets of slides are available in the common directory : chap07.pdf for deadlock and chap08.pdf for memory management.

• The Unix Multiprocess Programming page.

• Problems: 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 7.6, 7.9, 7.10, 7.11, 7.15, 7.16, 7.17, 7.20, 7.22 (p. 307)

You do not have to turn in your paper. What I really expect you to do is using these problems to gauge your understanding of the subject. So, do the problems after finish reading the above sections.
