Charging Your Battery

Your Coolpix 2500 comes with a MH-60 battery charger, power cable, and a rechargeable Li-ion battery EN-EL2. Since this battery is not fully charged in the factory, the first thing to do is to charge it.

Follow the steps below to charge your battery:

1. Plug the power cable to the MH-60 charger.
   

2. Plug the other end into a 100-240V power outlet.
3. Insert the EN-EL2 battery into the charger bay. The bottom of the EN-EL2 Li-ion battery has three contacts marked with +, T and -.
   

   Make sure that the contact points are on the bottom side and insert the battery into the charger bay so that the contact points will be aligned with those of the charger. In fact, the battery cannot be inserted into the charger bay if it has an incorrect orientation.

   

The CHARGE lamp (image below) will blink until the battery is fully charged. It may take up to two hours. After the CHARGE lamp stops blinking, remove the battery and unplug the power cable.
