Computer Science Minor Requirements
(Effective Fall 2004)
Students seeking a minor in Computer Science are required to have the
following classes:
CS 2141: Software Develpment Using C/C++, (3 sh)
CS 2311: Discrete Structures, (3 sh)
Electives -- Select 10 credits from the following courses - Minors must include at least 6 credit hours of 3000 level or higher courses which are not required
for a student's Major degree except as free electives. (Elective courses that have been selected by a student from a prepared list or by required consultation with
a major advisor in a Baccalaureate program are not free electives).
CS 3141: Team Software Project, (3 sh)
CS 3421: Computer Organization, (4 sh)
CS 3911: Introduction to Numerical Methods with FORTRAN, (3 sh)
CS 4121: Programming Languages, (3 sh)
CS 4311: Introduction to Computation Theory, (3 sh)
CS 4321: Introduction to Algorithms, (3 sh)
CS 4411: Introduction to Operating Systems, (4 sh)
CS 4611: Computer Graphics: Foundation of Computer Graphics, (3 sh)
Total Credits Required = 16 sh
(Upon the approval of the Computer Science Undergraduate Committee,
additional CS 3000 and CS 4000 level courses may be used in satisfying the
requirements of the CS Minor)
Additional courses must be submitted to the Degree Services Office on a Petition
Form.
